Can I bring my dog or other pets?

Pets are permitted. They must be well behaved and on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for the safety of the public. 

 

I'm driving. Where are you? 

Festival Plaza (right beside City Hall) at 110 Laurier Street in downtown Ottawa. Better yet, open your window and just follow the delicious smell of BIG BBQ. 

 

Is parking available? 

Yes. Parking is available on the nearby streets, underground parking right at City Hall and at public parking lots w/in the block. There is also free parking at the World Exchange Plaza on Queen Street. 

 

Do ribbers or vendors accept Visa/MasterCard or Debit?  

No. Capital Rifest is a "cash only" event. However, there are Two ATM's on-site for your convenience. Note: Some of the Poutine and Food Vendors may offer a debit option.  

 

What other kinds of foods are available? 

We are serving the best in Beef and Pork Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Roasted Corn, Blooming Onions, Gourmet Hotdogs, Donuts, Corn Dogs, Churros, Ice Cream, Slushies, Freshly squeezed lemonade, and NEW this year... 20 delicious Poutines from three amazing Poutiners.

Are there vegetarian and gluten free foods available? 

Yes. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Many of the Ribbers and Poutiners are Gluten Free.

What is the price of Ribs?

Menu's are onsite. *Prices and Food Items may vary and are subject to change

 

Are kids welcome? 

Yes. Capital Ribfest is a Family Friendly event. We have entertainment for every age group. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, note that the music in the evening will target adults. 

 

Are there volunteering opportunities? 

The success of the event is really dependent on the efforts of the volunteers. There are hundreds of positions to be filled. Community Service credit is available. Please visit the Volunteer section by clicking here.

 

Where does the money go? 

Capital Ribfest has partnered with The Purple Ring to support the Arts, Music, and Culture.

Is there anything else to do while I'm at Ribfest? 

Yes! We have vendors selling clothing, artisan vendors, surprise gift bags, Costco Membership, and more. We also have Face Painting for Kids along with the NEW Ribber Olympics and Best in Meat Competition.

I'm interested in having a booth to sell my own products or handicrafts. How can I become a vendor?
